cj7blog.blogspot.com - We all have a few smartphone habits we’re probably ashamed of, whether it’s pretending to be on your phone to avoid human contact, whipping your handset out in a public bathroom without a second thought or incessantly snapping selfies. Well, LG is dragging America’s worst mobile habits into the daylight with a new infographic based on research conducted for the LG G2.
While designing its latest phone, LG hired a research firm called Kelton to poll 1,152 American adults in its quest to design the perfect smartphone. The results helped the company pick everything from the handset’s 5.2-inch display to its bizarre button placement, but it also revealed a treasure trove of bizarre information that’s pretty much useless unless you’re putting together the fascinating infographic the company dropped in our inbox earlier today.
For the most part, Kelton’s findings reveal that we spend way too much time on our phones. Almost half of the people polled said they would use their smartphone in a place of worship without a second thought, while 75 percent say they use their device in public bathrooms. Meanwhile, only 28 percent said they’ve used their device while on a date, while 58 percent pulled out their smartphones while spending time with family; 62 percent did the same with friends. Interestingly, only 36 percent of the people LG polled confessed to taking a “selfie,” though this trend does skew towards a younger generation not covered in LG’s poll.
